Review of the Second Cycle (2014-2020) of the “UNESCO-Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers”

The Prize rewards innovative initiatives undertaken by individuals representing institutions or organisations, international or national governmental or non-governmental organisations educational or research institutions and local/national/regional communities for significant contribution in enhancing the effectvieness of teachers in providing quality teaching and learning, thereby contributing to the Education for All goal, in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4). The purpose of the review was to inform the decision for the renewal of the Prize in line with UNESCO rules and regulations and to generate evidence-based recommendations to enhance its relevance and effectiveness.
Stonemark was the principal evaluator of the review. Due to the covid-19 situation, all interviews were done remotely.
