Midterm evaluation of the Non-Governmental Gender Organisations Coordinating Council (NGOCC) in Zambia Strategic Plan 2018-2022

Objectives

NGOCC is an umbrella network organisation driving the women's empowerment agenda in Zambia. It has more than 100 members working in the ten provinces of Zambia. NGOCC is guided by a five-year strategic plan 2018-2022 that focuses on four thematic pillars namely 2) Women's economic empowerment, 2) Sexual reproductive health and rights, 3) Governance and women's leadership, and 4) Climate change mitigation and resilience, and one institutional strengthening pillar. Sida is providing core support to NGOCC. The evaluation is meant to assess relevance, effectiveness and sustainability of the strategic plan, and provide recommendations for the continued implementation of the plan.

Services provided

Stonemark is team leader of the evaluation. The evaluation relied on qualitative data collection methods. It adopted a blended approach of in-country and remote data collection in light of the covid-19 pandemic.
